Activated Carbon Powder

Activated Carbon Powder is a high purity type of carbon with a large surface area and tiny holes. It is often made from carbonaceous raw materials such as high-quality coals, coconut shells, or wood, however additional raw materials are being researched and produced on a regular basis. In the absence of oxygen, the raw material is burned before going through an activation process that opens up the tiny pore structure and imparts the massive surface area necessary for purification applications.
